Born in 1884 in Middlesbrough. Enlisted in March 1915, Discharge July 1918 with 42 days hard labour in Hull prison, for refusing to turn out for duty. He also break out from his ship in June 1915 and was absent for 96 hours.

Born in 1883 in Hartlepool. Enlisted in Febuary 1915, Serving on the Monitor M19 in the Mediterranean bombarding Turkish positions. After the war he was a merchant seaman until his death in 1925

ENGINEER LIEUTENANT on war and victory medals
Born in 1888 in Castle Douglas Scotland. William was 3rd Engineer working in the Merchant Navy before he enlisted in May 1915. Returning to the Merchant navy after the war and emigrated to Canada in 1921. He returned to Britain in 1937 to continue sea service and was Black Listed in 1946. Not to be admitted into the Merchant Navy under any circumstances.

THOMAS BANBURY
LIEUTENANT
ROYAL NAVY RESERVE
Thomas was a merchant seaman, becoming a Second Mate in April 1910, a First Mate in May 1913, he was found at fault when a ship the Rufford Hall sank in Japan in 1915, reduced back to Second Mate, finally a ships master in 1920. 1915 he enlisted in the R.N.R serving on HMS Berwick and HMS Donovan. After the war Thomas was master of Royal Fleet Axillary ships until discharged in 1947.
Medals come with copy Apprentices register, WW1 service papers, all 4 certificate of competency, Report of sinking of Rufford Hall, CRS 10 cards.

Death plaque and war medal to Richard Foot who drowned on 6th March 1916 and is buried in Alexandria Egypt. Richard served on the H.M. Trawler Margaret Duncan.
The medal has been battered although the lettering can be made out to 1947SA, R. Foot. 2HD R.N.R.
